I got started in Scientology because my husband told me about something called the "Purification Rundown." This is a service where all of the drugs and impurities which you have acquired in your lifetime are cleansed from your body using a supervised vitamin and exercise regime. This service literally changed my life!! I not only felt better physically, but I could think much clearer as well. The "Purification Rundown" is something which would benefit everyone who resides in this drug and chemical ridden society.

     Because of my successes as a result of the "Purification" process, I decided to take some other self-improvement courses offered by the Church of Scientology here in Miami, Fla. I took a course which improved my communication skills and another course which helped me to understand positive and negative influences in my life. I also took a course in study technology. As simple as these topics may sound they had resounding effects on my overall abilities. I have become a much more positive, productive person. I feel better about myself and the things that I can contribute and accomplish in life.

     I took my first course at the Church of Scientology shortly after I had received my Masters Degree from Arizona State University. Although the conventional education system of schools and universities taught me much about specific subjects, the courses I took at the Church taught me about life. The principles which I have learned and learned to apply are useful across all subjects and situations. Without this training I was simply an educated person, now I am an educated "being."

     Another way in which Scientology has helped me and my family is in the techniques which we use to raise our daughter, Carey Joy. My brother-in-law bought us a book called "Children" by L. Ron Hubbard. My husband and I have used the simple principles in this book in raising our daughter. In our opinion our daughter is much better behaved than most children you will encounter. She is usually happy and smiling, and rarely sick. She is also very bright, and quick to learn and communicate. People will say that we are lucky to have such a well behaved, stable child, but we know that it is because we have applied the principles that we learned in this book and in the courses we have taken ourselves.

     I have a message to all current and future Scientologists: Do not be fooled in to thinking that you are doing "good enough" in life. One can always improve and become able and contribute more. No matter where you are at in life, Scientology offers you a way to do just that...."Be a better YOU!!"
